An audition is required of all new and transfer students for membership in the Wildcat Marching Band. This allows us to hear all prospective members before Early Week, and it gives you a chance to meet our staff and ask any questions you may have about the WMB. Students who have already auditioned for and have been accepted into the School of Music are not required to audition separately for the WMB. All students planning on marching with the WMB must complete the online Intent to March form (check back for a link to the form). Auditions for woodwind and brass players are held during Merit Weekend, your Summer Advising Conference, or any other time by appointment. Please call the band office at (859) 257-2263 prior to your visit to schedule a time. Drumline auditions are held at the beginning of Early Week (the week before classes start).
Auditions for the color guard and Sweetheart Majorettes are held during the months of April and June. Please contact the band office for information about color guard auditions, or Kristen McQuerry (Sweetheart Majorette coordinator) to sign up for information about Sweetheart Majorette auditions.
We can work around most schedule conflicts! If you cannot audition on the dates listed below, please contact the person listed before the audition date to arrange an alternate time.
